From a young age and through her college years, Stephanie participated in a variety of team sports ranging from basketball to rugby. Her passion for helping others and working with a team began in high school when she worked as a summer camp counselor in her hometown, Madawaska, ME. In college, Stephanie majored in Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Maine. During her time at UMaine she was a member of the UMaine Women’s Rugby Club, worked as a supervisor for intramural sports on campus, and taught various fitness classes at the local YMCA.
Following the completion of her bachelor’s degree, and beginning her first year of teaching Physical Education in MSAD 11, she noticed something was missing. The team atmosphere and camaraderie that she had always known was no longer present in her daily life. In February 2014, Stephanie began her CrossFit journey at CrossFit Undaunted. She immediately felt the void she had been experiencing disappear as the members welcomed her with open arms. Shortly after she became a member, Stephanie knew she wanted to help others discover the community that helped her redefine herself. She quickly implemented various concepts and scaling options for bodyweight movements into her elementary Physical Education classes. In May, 2015 Stephanie became a CF-L1 trainer and has been coaching at CrossFit Undaunted ever since!
I am Undaunted.
